PwC Apprenticeship Application Stages — Everything You Need to Know

Salary: £25,000–£28,000Length: 5–6 yearsAcceptance: 2–4%

Here is every stage of the PwC School Leaver Programme application process — what happens, in what order, and what you need to do to pass each one.

1

Online Application Form

Complete your personal details, academic grades, and motivational questions. This is where you answer why PwC and why this programme. Application window: September–November for the following September start.

Prep tip

Answer motivational questions specifically — not generically. A specific reason for choosing PwC over a generic 'I want to work in the sector' answer makes an immediate difference.

2

Online Assessments

Situational Judgement Test (SJT) and Cognitive/Numerical Reasoning — both in one sitting

Prep tip

Practice with real providers (SHL, Korn Ferry, Cubiks) before the test date. Don't attempt on a mobile or slow connection.

3

Video Interview

HireVue pre-recorded — no live interviewer, 30 seconds to prepare each answer

Prep tip

Record yourself answering a practice question and watch it back. Fix filler words, posture, and pacing before the real thing.

4

Assessment Centre

Held at a PwC office. Typically includes: Group exercise, Individual presentation, Competency interview, Written exercise.

Prep tip

Prepare STAR stories for all competencies before the day. The assessment starts when you walk in — be professional with everyone you meet.
